Billed as “Astoria’s First Complete Shopping Center” when it opened in 1958, the Broadway Shopping Center continues to be a hub of activity in this densely populated area of Queens. Anchored by an Associated supermarket and a number of other chain stores, the center is also home to the famous Bel-Aire Diner (renovated in 2007) which is open 24/7 and notable for its distinctive retro façade.

Broadway Shopping Center is on a main thoroughfare that runs through Astoria and Ditmars to the Queens Midtown Tunnel entrance in Hunters Point. It is a short distance from the 59th Street / Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge into Manhattan.
