The Midtown was originally operated as a residential rental apartment building until 1982, when it was converted into cooperative ownership. The property is home to young families and a large senior population. As the coop’s sponsor, Midforest co-owns and rents a significant number of units.

The building is located in the northern part of the highly desirable neighborhood of Forest Hills, a residential area comprised primarily of detached single-family homes and low-rise coops and condominiums. Retail shops, movie theaters and restaurants are a short walk across Queens Boulevard, a major thoroughfare.

Forest Hills has superb access to public transportation. Manhattan is 15 minutes away on the LIRR and 20 minutes away via the E and F express subway lines. JFK and LaGuardia airports are each 10 minutes away by car.
